We’ve all suffered emotionally throughout our lives. Similarly, we’ve all experienced trauma, regardless to what degree it personally manifested. When we’re born, we’re forced through environmental conditioning, which will always have both its positives and negatives. Our greatest influences are generally our parents, followed by our peers and the societal and cultural paradigms of our time.
Our inner child and inner guru need to be balanced – that is our job; the job of our conscious ghost in the machine and our freedom of choice.
We can switch between our inner child and inner guru from conversation to conversation or even from statement to statement. To one person we may apply our child and to another we may apply our guru.
We have arrived at the doorstep of the next Global Financial Crisis. Collectively, we can no longer hide from the immense financial problems that plague us, including our enslavement to debt.
Yet it’s not all doom and gloom; this might just be a blessing in disguise because it is an opportunity for the masses to join the awakening community and participate in the discussion for how we collectively move forward both in the short and long-term future.
There are many reasons why some adults get along with their kids better than others. In this article I will provide a short overview of the common explanations which have emerged whilst professionally mediating the relationship between parents and their children, as well as observations in my personal life and society in general.
Humanity has lost its connection to nature. We’re so bombarded with artificial imagery and ideals of superficial living that most of us think taking in an occasional sunset or going for a bush-walk is what it means to be united with our Mother Earth. These practices are wonderful, and very grounding, however they are temporary and don’t truly represent the holistic way we most naturally connect to the spirit of our world and the life that it breathes.
The war-on-drugs has been one of the biggest policy failures of modern society. It could in fact be argued that it was a purposely designed strategy to restrict the consciousness of human society. In any case, it amplifies drug-related problems and doesn't recognize that altered states of consciousness play a perfectly natural role within the human experience; which of course is simply not good enough.
Working in the therapeutic sector with many different people in many types of relationships – including partners, parents/children and friends – it has become apparent that there are a few key factors which are generally present when the relationship is healthy. Throughout the following ten qualities a common theme is open and clear communication. We may feel or think a certain way, but if we don’t express it, how the hell is anyone meant to know?
Everywhere we look it’s like we’re living in crazy town. Most of the governments of the world advocate for backwards laws which seem so surreal it’s hard to believe it’s true. Natural and effective medicines are being suppressed, our privacy is being invaded and corporate benefiting and community destroying regulations are being put in place.
The collective perception of humanity has been highly influenced by the scientific method, especially over the last few centuries. This consensus has continually evolved throughout that time by transcending old ways of thinking about the ‘reality’ of the universe. It hasn’t stopped either; the accumulating scientific evidence, especially from the quantum, psychological and parapsychological realms, is facilitating a meta-paradigm shift that is significantly influencing the course of humanity’s destiny.
Judgment is considered to be an selfish behaviour in our society, however what this is truly referring to is the condemnation of people or their particular behaviors and values. Passing judgment on the world around us is a perfectly natural aspect of being human. We continually assess our environment and form opinions on whether we are safe, what response we should have and if we personally resonate with the energy of each given life circumstance.
